PickSportPlus is operated by Spencer Innovations. This page explains what the app stores about you, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. It is written to describe what the software actually does rather than to cover every hypothetical.
The short version
- We store your email, display name, a hashed password, and your picks. That is close to all of it.
- There are no ads, no analytics, no tracking pixels and no third party cookies.
- We do not sell your data or share it for marketing. There is nobody to sell it to.
- Other members of your pool can see your display name, your picks after the week locks, and your standings.
What we collect

We do not ask for your date of birth, your address, your phone number or any payment details. The app takes no payments, so there is nothing financial to store.
Cookies
PickSportPlus sets one cookie, psp_session. It is a signed session cookie
that records which account you are signed in as and which pool you are viewing. It is
strictly necessary to keep you signed in, it lasts up to 30 days, and it is not used to
track you anywhere else. There are no advertising or analytics cookies. Signing out
clears it.
Who else is involved
- Our host. The app and its database run on Render, which processes the data above on our behalf in order to serve the site.
- Google Fonts. Page styling loads two typefaces from Google's font servers, so your browser makes a request to Google and Google therefore receives your IP address and browser details. No account information is sent. If you would rather this did not happen, the fonts can be self hosted, and the app degrades to system fonts without them.
- Sports data providers. The app reads schedules, scores and betting lines from ESPN, The Odds API and CollegeFootballData. Those requests are made by our server, not by your browser, and they contain no information about you.
The interactive parts of the page (the drag to rank control and the save without a page reload) run from JavaScript served by this app, not from an external network, so using the picks page does not call out to anyone else.
Who can see your picks
Before a week locks, your picks are visible only to you. After the lock they become visible to everyone in your pool, along with your points and how many you got right. That is a deliberate design decision so a pool can trust its own results. Your email address is visible to your pool commissioner, not to other members.
How long we keep it
Account and pick data is kept while your account exists, because a season's standings depend on earlier weeks. If your commissioner removes you from a pool, your picks and results for that pool are deleted with the membership. If your account is deleted, the account and everything attached to it goes.
Security
Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. Session cookies are signed, and are marked secure wherever the app is served over HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot promise that a breach will never happen, but we do not store anything financial and we never store a readable password.
Your choices
Write to jakespencer6596@gmail.com to ask for a copy of what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have your account and its data deleted. You can change your display name through your commissioner. Depending on where you live you may have further rights over your data, and we will honour a request that the law gives you.
Children
The app is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, write to jakespencer6596@gmail.com and we will delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. A change that materially affects what we collect will be announced in the app.
